HVAC Installer

Position Overview We are seeking a dependable, detail‑oriented HVAC Installer to join our installation team. This role focuses on the safe, high‑quality installation of commercial and light‑industrial heating, cooling, and ventilation systems. The ideal candidate brings strong mechanical aptitude, takes pride in craftsmanship, and works well both independently and as part of a crew.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install HVAC systems including rooftop units, split systems, heat pumps, ductwork, ventilation equipment, and related components.
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and installation specifications.
  • Fabricate and install ductwork, piping, supports, and equipment pads to industry standards.
  • Perform start‑ups, testing, and system commissioning with accuracy and documentation.
  • Ensure all work meets safety requirements, code compliance, and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Coordinate with project managers, foremen, and other trades to maintain jobsite efficiency.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in clean, organized condition.
  • Represent the company professionally on customer sites.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of HVAC installation experience or completion of a recognized HVAC apprenticeship program.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical installation practices, ductwork, and refrigeration piping.
  • Ability to braze, solder, pressure test, and perform leak checks.
  • EPA Section 608 Certification (Universal preferred).
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift, climb, and work on rooftops or in mechanical spaces.
  • Strong communication skills and commitment to safety and quality.

Preferred Experience (Not Required)

  • Experience installing commercial RTUs, VRF/VRV systems, and hydronic equipment.
  • Familiarity with controls wiring and low‑voltage installation.
  • Ability to mentor apprentices or assist with crew leadership.
  • Light sheet metal fabrication or field modification skills.
