Account Manager  - HVAC Services

Position Overview We are seeking a driven, relationship‑focused Account Manager to help grow and support our commercial HVAC service portfolio. This role blends sales, customer management, and operational coordination. The ideal candidate is comfortable prospecting, building long‑term client relationships, and managing the full lifecycle of service agreements, small projects, and repair opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, pursue, and secure new commercial service clients through proactive outreach, networking, and territory development.
  • Manage and grow an assigned customer portfolio with a focus on retention, responsiveness, and long‑term partnership.
  • Prepare estimates and proposals for preventative maintenance agreements, service repairs, and small HVAC projects.
  • Conduct site visits, equipment assessments, and scope development to ensure accurate pricing and clear expectations.
  • Collaborate with service managers, dispatch, and field technicians to ensure work is executed efficiently and to customer standards.
  • Track opportunities, pipeline activity, and customer interactions using CRM or internal systems.
  • Lead renewal conversations, upsell opportunities, and value‑added recommendations based on equipment condition and operational needs.
  • Represent the company professionally at customer meetings, industry events, and jobsite walkthroughs.
 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of HVAC industry experience in service, sales, estimating, or a related technical role.
  • Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems, service workflows, and maintenance strategies.
  • Proven ability to build relationships, communicate clearly, and manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
  • Experience preparing estimates, proposals, or scopes of work for service and small projects.
  • Self‑motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Strong business acumen and customer‑service mindset.

Preferred Experience (Not Required)

  • Prior experience selling service agreements or managing a service portfolio.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms and structured sales processes.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and interpret equipment data.
  • Background in field service, controls, or light project management.
