HVAC Service Technician

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our growing service team. This role is ideal for a mechanically driven professional who takes pride in high‑quality workmanship, clear communication, and delivering exceptional customer service. The technician will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of commercial and light‑industrial HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform service, troubleshooting, and repair on commercial HVAC equipment including RTUs, split systems, heat pumps, boilers, and ventilation systems.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance with attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and safety compliance.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control issues using proper tools and testing equipment.
  • Communicate findings, recommendations, and repair options clearly to customers and internal teams.
  • Maintain clean, organized work habits and uphold company standards on every jobsite.
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay current with evolving HVAC technologies and best practices.
  • Complete service tickets, documentation, and digital reporting in a timely and professional manner.
  • Represent the company with professionalism, integrity, and a customer‑first mindset.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of HVAC service experience or completion of a recognized HVAC apprenticeship program.
  • Strong diagnostic skills across mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems.
  • EPA Section 608 Certification (Universal preferred).
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle customer interactions confidently.
  • Comfortable with ladders, rooftop work, and physical demands typical of the trade.
  • Strong communication skills and commitment to safety.

Preferred Experience (Not Required)

  • Experience with commercial service agreements and PM programs.
  • Familiarity with basic controls troubleshooting (DDC, economizers, sensors).
  • Boiler or hydronics experience.
  • Light sheet metal or piping skills.
